Ashville, July 17 (hand written on the obituary 1916)-Mrs Sarah A Bowen, widow of Dewitt Bowen, died on Monday July 10th at the home of her sister, Mrs. M.D.Dennison, aged 44 years, seven months and nine days. She is survived by her father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Hiram Temple of Sugar Grove; one brother, Arthur Temple of Whitesville; and two sisters, Mrs. Chloe Dennison of Ashville and Miss Lottie Temple of Sugar Grove. She was a member of the Ashville M.E. Church and of the Philemon Society.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the Ashville M.E. Church preceded by a prayer service from the home. Rev. Shirl B Bartlett, officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Charles Parkhurst and A.S. Jones with Miss Zeva Bartlett as accompanist. The bearers were Rose Swart, Ella Winch, Grace Wescott, Maud Skinner,

Harriet Parkhurst and Nellie Roach. The floral tributes included pieces from the Cemetery Society and the Philemon Society. Those in attendance from away were Mr. 7 Mrs. Hiram Temple, Lottie Temple, Lynn Temple, Hazel Temple, Mrs. Winnie Phelps and son Raymond of Sugar Grove, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Temple of Whitesville and Mr. & Mrs. Charles Dennison of Falconer Parents: Hiram TEMPLE-2874 and Susan L.
