This may indicate both Henry and Adam are related, but not sons of Adam and Barbara. In 1900, he was enumerated next door to Adam and Caerdanath (sp?) Temple, who are clearly his parents. The 1900 census was full of odd phonetic spellings for this district, so I am not sure what Henry's mother's name actually was. Furthermore, his parents' birthdates (Aug 1841 for his father, Dec 1841 for his mother, whatever her name) do not match anywhere near Adam and Barbara (Werle) Temple, so there are larger problems with this family.

An alternative is that Adam and Caedanath Tempel in 1900 were next door to their son, who was this Henry Temple. There might be a second Henry Temple with whom is confused so he might not be the Henry Jr. The date of Adam's immigration (for the one b 1841, it was 1870) was inconsistent with Henry's birth date and location in 1900.
