She died on 15 November 1893 in Wilkinson Co., GA.¹²¹⁵⁵ Temple People, Vol. II, raises an interesting possibility that should be checked. Mariah was the daughter of Stanmore and Mary Carr according to cemetery records. Joyce Temple Barnett seemed to think Mariah was "his" aunt, meaning either Stanmore or more likely Hudson Temples. She also gave Mariah's birth date as about 1843, and that of Mary Rountree as 5 May 1845. I wonder if there is some confusion in the records of Mary for Mariah, and that all the issue of Mary and Mariah actually belong to Mary Rountree. If their birthdates can be confused for each other, perhaps more than that could happen.
